Bay County K-8 School

Bay County K-8 School
In August of 2005, JRA was selected by the Bay County School Board to design the Countys newest K-8 school. It will be located adjacent to J.R. Arnold High School. The school consists of an "H" shaped main building with a separate, detached gymnasium. The center core of the building houses the Administration Suite, Media Center, Covered Play Area, Shared ESE and Skills Labs and the Art Suite. All elementary classrooms are located in the rear of the school which allows for segregation of middle school and elementary populations. The middle school area is located adjacent to the Gymnasium. Both elementary playfield and middle school p.e. fields were provided onsite. The 165,000 sf facility is currently under construction and is on schedule for an August 2008 opening.
